New Year Resolutions

I really wanted to be a part of a blogothon which required me to post for 30 days continuously for one month. It would have been fun but due to some reasons, I couldn’t be a part of that blogothon officially. But who said that I cannot be a part of it unofficially. :P
So, here I am talking about the first topic that they gave for the participants. New Year Resolutions? Do you make them or not?  If you make them, do you follow them?
For me, yes. I do make them. I have a plenty of them this time as well. This reminds me of the last year. In December 2012, I was quite free and therefore, wrote a lot of blog posts about New Year Resolutions and what one should do in the coming year (2013). A few of them are still live on this blog.
If you ask me how much did I stick to them, I have just one example. I made a resolution to read 40 books in 2013. I don’t think I read more than 4. There are plenty of excuses but still, the fact that matters is that I didn’t keep my New Year Resolutions.
Then why once again? Why did I make them again in this year? Do I like breaking them? Is that why I make New Year Resolutions?
Why Do I Make New Year Resolutions?
What I believe is that a person cannot do or achieve anything in his life unless he has some goals already set for him. Of course, they can be flexible but you ought to have one before you start your journey, before you start your new year. Those entire goals would not only provide you direction whence you feel lost but also act as a source of inspiration.
No doubt I failed miserably in the previous year’s resolutions, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try again? Moreover, this time I am already on my way towards dedication, determination and consistency. So, I am sure this year is going to be better.
That’s my reason for having New Year Resolutions and as always, I would try to do better than the previous year.
Here’s a short list of my New Year Resolutions..
1.       Read 52 books
2.       Write 200 posts for Perception
3.       Write 100 posts for Finix Post
4.       Do 50 Guest Posts
5.       Lose weight (5 kgs :D)
Do you know I would really like to listen to New Year Resolutions? Mine are really boring. I know. But I would like to listen to some interesting ones!
